MODIFIKASI STERILISASI UV INKUBATOR BAYI DENGAN PENGONTROLAN MENGGUNAKAN ANDROID

Abstract

The incubator has moist and warm conditions which are ideal places for microorganisms to thrive and cause infection in baby. This requires a process of destroying all forms of microorganisms which is called the sterilization process. In the sterilization process, it is necessary to pay attention to the time of irradiation and the emission of UV radiation because of there action caused to the skin, therefore the design of this tool aims to make a UV sterilizer with android control and add a safe distance controller to the user. The design of the UV sterilizer uses an Atmega328 microcontroller which functions as a data processoror controller. the device uses bluetooth media as a liaison. The connection distance between android and the deviceis 8 meters. The safe distance control system uses the HC-SR04 ultrasound sensor, which functions to detect someone if they are less than 2 meters away, the UV lamp will turn off automatically. The design of this tool was carried out in June – November 2021 at the Workshop of the Electrical-medical Technology Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Mandala Waluya.  From there sults of the design of the baby incubator UV sterilization with control using android, it can be seen that the tool works well in carrying out the sterilization process with the application as a controller of irradiation time. Based on there sults of observations, the maximum connection range of Bluetooth to the deviceis 8 meters. The device is equipped with a safe distance control system to provide protection to medical personnel from UV rays. This is based on there sults of observations where someone who is 0.03 to 2 meters away from the tool, the sterilization lamp will turn off automatically. However, It is necessary to pay attention to the placement of the tool to expose the sensor to the door because the sensor rangeis not so wide. Suggestions for further development by adding sensors that have a wider detection range.
